ughhh

While I was at work Friday night, I managed to hurt my back. So for the past 24hours, I've been stuck on the couch with a heating pad. Say a prayer that this won't last too much longer!

The family is all in New York and it's so hot!! I was hoping for a little cooler weather, but no such luck. Anyhow, we had an amazing dinner and then Phantom of the Opera, a perfect New York night. Will post pictures when we get back! Pray for safe travel tomorrow as Mom, Dad and Trey head back to Louisiana and Abby heads to Atlanta.

ME

Megan and I had a rather random but fun Saturday afternoon. We went to books-a-million and met Mary Engelbreit!

Now I had been up for around 24hours at this point, so please excuse how exhausted I look. She was very very nice and I told her how my mom was a huge fan and had alot of the same artist influences when she was younger. I was able to get two cards signed, one for mom and one for her best friend, Christy. Mary misspelled Christy's name but I hoping she won't mind too much!

All in all, it turned out to be a great afternoon!!

hallelujah

The day I thought would never get here has finally come! Josh is officially finished with his hep C treatment. We are finished with weekly shots and daily pills and monthly doctor visit. It will take some time for Josh to get back all his strength, but we definitely on our way back to normalcy. Our prayers now are for renewed strength and for a negative lab test in six months. Your continued prayers are much appreciated! Praise be the Lord for getting us through this year!!

missing abby

I just want to say how much I miss being in the same town as Abby! I know this is not very practical but I wish we could plan out our lives so that we always live in the same town. Again, not very practical but sounds perfect

June 1, 2010

so this is blogging...

I'm not really sure how this whole blogging thing is going to work out so we'll just have to wait and see. Abby left for her Lilly adventure in Philadelphia and Josh is working tonight, so I thought...why not start a blog?? Well, around 5 hours later, I'm finally starting my first post. Who knew it would be so confusing to have a cute background??

With our family spread from Washington to Michigan to Louisiana to Georgia and Philadelphia, I thought this would be a good way to keep us all connected. The hubs and I are in Savannah and just living life. Josh will be finished with his Hep C treatment on June 16th and I cannot this year is almost complete. It seems like just yesterday we were sitting in the doctor's office being told that Josh had somehow gotten Hep C. One biopsy and many tests later, Josh was started on the year long treatment. The Lord has tested our faith more that I thought was possible. We have had ok days and then really hard days, but we are almost on the other side. We are so ready to have some sort of normalcy back in our lives, we can barely stand it. I know the Lord is going to bring something wonderful and good from this year and I'm eagerly looking forward to see what it is going to be. I guess I'll just have to wait and see. Until then, we will keep trusting God that we are exactly where He wants us to be.

I'll leave you with a picture of the three of us on Easter Sunday. Our church, IPC, has been such a blessing and we could not be more grateful for the teaching we are hearing every Sunday. Good night!!
